The 2019 AGM is a major milestone in the history of cricket in Hong Kong. The board elected at this AGM will be the first under the new constitution and as such it signifies a ‘brave new world’ from which the organization can shape the future of the sport in Hong Kong.

It has been a privilege and honour to serve as President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), in what has been an important consolidation year.

It has always seemed to me thatthe Council offers all of us a rareopportunity to work together for thebetterment of not only all membercountries as a whole but to bringtogether individual membercountries at times when otheravenues are not open.

There have been numerous positivedevelopments among the Membercountries over the years. The gamehas spread across the Asian Regionand developed to greater heights.The development of the game alsoprovides more economic benefitsand opportunities to the test-playingfull member countries.

On assuming the role of 22nd President of the Asian Cricket Council in 2012 I have felt honour boundto make as much of a contribution as possible to advance the operations and practices of the Council.
